Whenever I start working on my laptop, there should always be a cup of iced coffee or chocolate so that I can function better. Just recently, I bought a Starbucks tumbler so that I can easily make one for myself. However, after using my favorite tumbler for a week, I noticed that the inside of the straw became dirty. Apparently, running warm water through it won’t clean the inside of the straw. I tried cleaning it with cotton swabs but the length wasn’t enough. There are straw brushes available at the market but I was too lazy too look for one so I searched for some common household items that would fit the inside of the straw. That’s when I discovered a perfect cleaning tool for my favorite re-usable straw – a shoe lace.
Yes, a shoe lace. Of course the shoe lace has to be brand new. Since I have lots of extra shoe laces, I thought of giving it a try.
All you have to do is to pour soap on it and insert the shoe lace through the straw and rinse it with water. That’s it!
Now, try it with your re-usable straw and let me know how it went!
