I finally got my hands on the latest flagship of Kata Digital after seeing this on their Facebook page, the Kata M2!
This was actually my first time to try Kata and I was impressed just by looking at it. I thought Kata M2 was pricey because of its elegant design, but I was surprised when I found out the price of this smartphone.
Kata M2 comes with the standard accessories: USB Cable, wall charger, earphones, removable battery and manual.
It has a 5.5” Super HD display (720×1280) with IPS technology similar with iPhone’s retina display, and it is powered with 1.3GHz Quad Core MTK 6582 processor and 1G RAM.
Volume keys and power/sleep button are located on the right side of the phone.
There are no buttons on the left side, while the 3.5mm jack and the micro USB port are on the top.
The Kata M2 is already running on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and it has 16gb internal storage plus 5gb Kata Cloud lifetime storage, making it an ideal platform for securing your multimedia files. If that isn’t enough, you can still add up to 32gb external storage through microSD.
The back cover has a carbon fiber matte finish, which gives a leathery feel, making it easier to hold. It also prevents scratches or finger prints.
It packs a 13MP main camera at the back and a 5MP shooter at the front for video calls and selfie needs. It also has a dual slim slot (micro sim and regular sized sim) and microSD card slot when you open the back casing.
Viewing angles are great – perfect for watching movies and playing HD games.
The Kata M2 scored 17707 in AnTuTu, which is actually good for its price range.
If you’re protective to your gadgets like me, they also have a smart case for M2, which not only protects the phone, but also makes it more stylish.
When you close the smart case, the screen will lock automatically and at the same time it will show the time and status of the phone.
The Kata M2 smart case is available in black or white for 650php. They also have screen protector for 300php.
