THE GRAND LIFE

Since grade school, I’ve been wanting to have a pair of Cole Haan but I’m a sneaker person back then. Last week, I was invited to the launch of Cole Haan’s newest collection in their LunarGrand’s line. Cole Haan also launched its collaboration with three of the most sought after photographers and two notable visual and graphic artists in the Philippines to celebrate the Grand Life campaign.

Photographers Roy Macam, Jake Versoza and Tom Epperson; together with visual artist Robert Alejandro and graphic designer AJ Dimarucot displayed their works based on the theme: “The Grand Life” which featured select pieces from the Cole Haan Spring 2014 LunarGrand collection.

The theme was inspired by the many photos posted by LunarGrand fans on Instagram as well as in other social media wherein every aspect of their lives: from going to work to just having a relaxing sip of coffee, to the most eventful occasions such as landing their dream job and even to their own wedding; their much loved pair of LunarGrand was there to celebrate with them.

The Cole Haan LunarGrand is a conceptual clash of past meets future—the unique and seamless fusion of timeless design and futuristic innovation. Incorporating Nike’s innovative ultra-lightweight Lunarlon cushioning system into Cole Haan’s traditional construction techniques, the LunarGrand achieves unrivaled feel, flexibility and movement—redefining how classic dress shoes can move and function in modern urban environments.

What makes the LunarGrand so interesting is the fact that the classic dress shoe styles have been preserved and fused perfectly to a sneaker outsole that affords the wearer so much comfort even if one stays on their feet all day – it’s like mixing business with pleasure.

Check out the latest collections of Cole Haan and the biggest styles of the Cole Haan LunarGrands starting February 12, 2014 in Cole Haan Glorietta 4, Rockwell Powerplant Mall, Shangri-La Plaza and SM Mall of Asia.
